Our Summer Hero’s
Meet: Makani
On 7/23/22 Makani was recognized with Casa Bella’s “Little Hero Award.” Our little hero award is given to children who demonstrate acts of kindness, leadership, civic participation, or volunteer time. Our young entrepreneur is 5-year-old and participated in Lemonade Day Lomita on July 9th. Her Lemonade stand “Maki’s Retro Lemonade “sold 186 cups of Lemonade, 173 Virtual Cups of Lemonade with her slogan “Best Lemonade in Town made with Love.” She pledged and donated 50% of her profits to the Casa Bella Foundation. In total, Makani donated $1,136 to the Casa Bella Foundation.
Makani’s donations has helped sponsor our 2022 educational back-to-school program with backpacks, and school supplies. She is truly an inspiration to others and taught us what it means to have a giving heart!
Meet the Palacios: A young family planting seeds of kindness
Louis and Kasey celebrated their sons’ 1st birthday like no other. They gave their child, Kosta a priceless gift of generosity and kindness! One that this child will treasure for years to come. Instead of receiving gift for a milestone Birthday they helped raised awareness for children in need and invited their guest to support Casa Bella’s mission. In lieu of gifts the family and friends were asked to donate for a cause. Together they raised $1, 580 which will help support hundreds of kids with back-to-school supplies this academic year.
Kosta is blessed to have amazing, unselfish, and caring parents.
